| Exodus 35:4 - 29,35 4 Moses Said to the whole Israelite community, “This is what the Lord has commanded: 5 From what you have, take an offering for the Lord. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the Lord and offering of gold, silver and bronze; 6 blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; 7 ram skins dyed red and hides of sea cows; acacia wood; 8 olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; 9 and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breast piece. 10 “All who are skilled among you are to come and make everything the Lord commanded: 11 the tabernacle with its tent and its covering, clasp frames, crossbars, posts and bases; 12 the ark with its poles and the atonement cover and the curtain that shields it; 13 the table with its poles and all its articles and the bread of the Presence; 14 the lampstand that is for light with its accessories, lamps and oil for the light 15 the altar of with its poles, the anointing oil and fragrant incense; the curtain for the doorway at the entrance to the tabernacle; 16 the altar of the burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles and all the utensils; the bronze basin with its stand; 17 the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard; 18 the tent pegs for the tabernacle and for the courtyard, and their ropes; 19 the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary - both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests.” 20 Then the whole Israelite community withdrew from Moses’ presence, 21 and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved him came and brought an offering to the tent of the Meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments. 22 All who were willing , men and women alike, came and brought gold jewellery of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the Lord. 23 Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen’ or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or hides of sea cows brought them. 24 Those presenting an offering of silver or bronze brought it as an offering to the Lord, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it. 25 Every skilled woman spun with her hands and brought what she had spun - blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen. 26 And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goat hair. 27 The leaders brought onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. 28 They also brought spices and olive oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense. 29 All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the Lord freewill offerings for all the work the Lord through Moses had commanded them to do. 35 He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers - all of them master craftsmen and designers. Give yourself to God: Rom 12:1 - 21 1 Therefor, I urge you, brothers, in the view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will. 3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you : Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. 4 Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us . If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. 7 If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; 8 if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the need of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is mercy, let him do it cheerfully. 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honour one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live in peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ”It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, Feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. No money, but rise up and walk: Acts 3: 1 - 10 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer - at three in the afternoon. 2 Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4 Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” 5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. 6 Then Peter said, “ Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. 8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. 9 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 they recognised him as the same man who used to sit at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what happened to him. Message. The essence of a Revival is a New Spirit of giving that is released in you. A desire and commitment to give to God your time, talent and treasure. Just as I am without one plea but that thy Blood was shed for me - O Lamb of God I come. A friend of mine was so touched by God in her conversion that she was wanting to give her house away and even wanted to cut her hair.. She got the VISION ... ALL she possessed BELONGED to the LORD. My own conversion, I immediately was led to start a youth group. I understood ALL I have BELONGS to JESUS. In the Book of Acts, they sold what they had and brought it to the Apostles. All they had BELONGED to Jesus. When you first gave yourself to God , no one had to tell you to tithe or give - you just gave - it came from the heart, you FELT an OVERWHELMING urge to give. Giving is a sign of revival. 3 Levels of Giving 1. Time 2. Talent 3. Treasure 1. Time Time is the most difficult because what you do with your time reveals who you are. If you want to understand someone ask them what they do with their time. i. First priority is to give yourself to God in prayer and Bible study everyday. ii. Give yourself to the Holy Spirit to be led by Him through the day. iii. Give yourself to some prayer with a group or a person preferably everyday because then revival will flow. 2. Talent Most people deny they have gifts. They deny the truth that God has given to each of us a talent, if not many talents. i. Identify your gift and acknowledge it. ii. Learn all you can about it. iii. Use it! 3. Treasure This is usually what we focus on! and we end up pushing people to give. I believe people want to give and giving must flow from the heart of love! As the scripture emphasised, Moses insisted that the giving come from a FREE WILL.. I believe we have one of the most amazing churches - if you look level of giving, it is amazing. I am trusting God that we will grow to the place where we will, like Moses, have to tell the people don’t give any more because we have more than enough. We have a vision to release ministry. In this church are people with gifts waiting to be released. I believe God is going to raise us to the place where we can do that. God wants to release the gifts the talents and the treasures to Bless the nations and it will happen because the Holy Spirit is touching us and releasing us in power. |
