Church on the Way.
St. Georges Presbyterian Church Bluff, Durban, South Africa.
The First quarter
We were fortunate to have a lady from the Botanical Gardens come out
twice, once to give us some advice on our trees which were good trees
and which should be taken out as they are aliens.
On the second visit she came to see our progress and to bring us a few
plants.
We have started a garden to the left of the church and although progress
has been slow we hope to complete this small garden soon.
Our goals for the next quarter
To try and remove some of the alien trees and replace them with
indigenous plants.
Also our garden pots need painting which is on our “to do” list.
Our main problem is that we don’t have enough gardeners. At the moment
we only have Sipho doing most of the work, when he has the time. We
plan to get one or two more gardeners to work for a day or two to
complete the bulk of the work after Easter.
